Juvenile Justice Reform is an innovative justice system. The program lays emphasis on alternatives to detention, humane incarceration, and the reintegration of children in conflict with the law in Bamenda, the regional capital. This project is first of its kind in Cameroon. It is sponsored by the European Union. HEDECS handles the Diversion component of the project; diversion reforms, reintegrates, and does Victim offender mediation. This excellent job mentioned above is done by psychologists and counselors in HEDECS. This project has been running for nine months now. This means that counselors have been doing work with some of these children who are in conflict with the law.
Christmas is a time for celebrating with family, friends and loved ones. It will be a great event bringing our juveniles together to celebrate, socialize and inspire one another. This is an exciting opportunity for juveniles to meet again and share experiences
In regards to the great work that we in HEDECS have been doing in the lives of these juveniles who are being diverted to us, we shall be having a come together with all of them. We think this will cause the juveniles to appreciate what the program has so far done in their lives and many more. This day shall be full of many interesting programs. We are expecting you to be part of it
